MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

The MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program (CMHC) offered at the Lindenwood St. Louis (St. Charles) campus provides students with a broad base of psychological knowledge and theory integrated with extensive training and practice in the use of counseling skills.

The CMHC program offers students an opportunity to complete coursework prerequisite to professional counseling (LPC) licensure in Missouri. Graduates of the program who complete post-graduate Missouri licensure requirements, including supervised post-graduate counseling service and the required licensure exams, are qualified to work in a variety of mental health settings with individuals, groups, and families.

The CMHC program is intensive and comprehensive, requiring a minimum of 60 credit hours of coursework and applied experience.
