About : The Associate of Science in Carpentry provides students with the skills to understand and engage in carpentry practices. The program covers foundational concepts, safety practices, and the techniques necessary for success in the carpentry field. This degree combines hands-on training with technical knowledge, preparing graduates for various roles in construction and carpentry-related professions.
Career Outcomes : Graduates may pursue careers as carpenters, construction laborers, or site supervisors. They can work in residential, commercial, or industrial settings, and may also find opportunities in remodeling and renovations. The skills gained from this degree can lead to entry-level positions or serve as a stepping stone for further specialization in the construction industry.

Our program is designed to instruct students in the principles of carpentry and provide participation in all phases of the building process. Carpentry students build a new house and/or remodel existing structures. By using on and off-campus building projects, we teach construction principles, and best practices and develop hands-on skills.

In Carpentry, we cover everything that goes into building a house from foundation to rough framing, energy efficiency and codes, kitchens, bathrooms, and finish work. You can get a degree (AS) in Carpentry and work towards a contractor’s license, or take individual classes for personal enrichment and become more handy.
