Background

It is essential to know the origins of coaching, the state of the art and the different definitions in order to establish what is and what is not coaching, its scope and main applications. Participants will be able to clearly differentiate the concept of sports coaching from other techniques aimed at improving individual and group performance.

The process

Recognizing the stages of the integral coaching process is key to understanding which are the techniques or tools that I must use to carry out the process successfully. A logical order in the interventions allows us to plan each of the sessions with greater precision and obtain the maximum productivity in each of them. Making the objectives clear from the beginning will help us to develop an action plan with measurement indicators that facilitate the monitoring and control of the commitments acquired.

main concepts

For each stage of the process, it is necessary to apply different concepts that will allow us to broaden our field of action and, ultimately, have a greater number of alternatives to successfully accompany our interventions as a coach.

In some cases these concepts are known, to a greater or lesser extent, by the participants, the difference will be in how and when to apply them correctly depending on the needs.
