Built on a solid foundation in the design and innovation of structures, this programme will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a civil engineer. Through the selection of materials, construction methods and numerical simulations, you will be able to design constructions that are fully compliant with environmental, legal and structural rules. You will learn to translate a project from concept to realisation, arriving at a structural design that meets the relevant criteria of strength, serviceability, energy efficiency, durability, and sustainability.
About the Programme
This master's programme provides the broader, advanced, scientific knowledge and skills required for success within the professional sphere. Meanwhile, this programme places a particular focus on the science of civil engineering technology. You will examine the engineering behind the construction of buildings and structures; explore the design process and understand the technical execution and latest innovations. This process is driven and supported by technological developments, such as new materials and up-to-date design and dimensioning methods. You will also be introduced to entrepreneurship and will enhance your skills by collaborating on a joint multidisciplinary project with master students from arts and architecture.
