Climate change is having a profound impact on every aspect of life worldwide. Extreme weather events, diminishing natural resources, and growing social inequalities are challenges that demand immediate action. The time has come to view business and the economy in a new way—as tools for building a better, more sustainable future. Companies are feeling this pressure more than ever, as they play a crucial role in shaping society, culture, and economic ecosystems.

Today, business can no longer exist in isolation from social and environmental responsibility. Organizations around the world are adapting their strategies to meet the expectations of consumers, investors, and regulators who increasingly demand transparency and sustainable practices. Governments are modernizing infrastructure to mitigate the effects of climate change, while innovative technologies—such as renewable energy, the circular economy, and the sharing economy—are becoming integral to a growing number of industries.

Companies must not only minimize their carbon footprint but also ensure responsible supply chains, fair working conditions, and ethical resource management. At the same time, dynamic startups are introducing groundbreaking solutions that revolutionize urban agriculture, food production, and waste management.

Almost every organization today—from multinational corporations to small businesses and public institutions—must report on its environmental and social impact. The business world is evolving, and those who want to succeed must understand how to integrate innovation, economics, and sustainability to create responsible and value-driven business models.

The Sustainable Business Major within the Bachelor in Management program at Kozminski University is designed to meet these challenges. This exclusive program, delivered in collaboration with the prestigious ESCP Business School, offers a Double Degree and equips future leaders with the skills needed to build a better future.

The project is funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange under the Strategic Partnerships program.
