The Graduate Certificate of Information Systems is to provide a professional qualification in information systems and prepare students to apply their professional knowledge and skills in IS within an industry of their choice. The course focuses on preparing students for continuing professional development and further study towards a professionally oriented Master’s degree in information technology or information systems. Graduates from the Graduate Certificate of Information Systems will be equipped to engage in employment in a varied range of industries and positions. The students will have some of the career options as entry level Information Systems Coordinator and System Analyst. The course also provides a pathway to higher level careers such as Information Systems Manager and Information Systems Consultant although these positions may require additional training for advancement.
The Graduate Certificate of Information Systems requires students to complete a total of 4 subjects over 1 trimester (for full-time students). There are no pre-requisites or co-requisites.
