About: This BSc Electrical Engineering programme at Klaipeda University (official activities began 1 January 1991) combines theory and practice for current and emerging technologies. You’ll study electrical circuits, machines and drives, information technologies, industrial controls and communication, electricity and renewable energy, and microcontrollers, plus design, programming, maintenance and operation of industrial automation equipment.
Career Outcomes: Demand from Industry 4.0 and renewable energy is raising need for specialists. Potential roles include electrical engineer, automation and robotics engineer, power systems designer, renewable energy specialist, embedded systems developer. This course provides students with a range of skills to understand and work with current and future technologies. Students will gain theoretical and practical knowledge of design and programming of industrial automation equipment, along with maintenance and operation - all reflecting the fast development of technology. Specific themes will include: electrical circuits, electrical machines and drives, information technologies, industrial controls and industrial communication, electricity and renewable energy, and microcontrollers.
The main courses in the curriculum include Robotic Systems; Renewable Energetics and Energy Efficiency; Microprocessors and Microcontrollers; Programmable Logic Controllers and Industrial Communication; and Electrical Transport Systems.
