Introduction
Agribusiness is the economic sector that includes all agriculture and agriculture-related commercial endeavors. Agribusiness includes all the steps required to produce an agricultural goods – whether crop or livestock – and send it to market: production, processing, and distribution, both across the country and around the world.
Agriculture plays an integral role in the overall economy of the U.S. contributing significantly to GDP and import-export balance.
The Agribusiness Program at Kishwaukee College prepares students with the solid foundation of coursework and hands-on experience to prepare them for any position in agribusiness. From short-term certificates to degrees that lead directly into the workforce or can transfer for a continuation toward a four-year agribusiness degree, the programs at Kish are a great place for students interested in combining agriculture with the drive to enter a professional business career.
