Master of Theology
This master-level programme in English with 120 ECTS credits is suited as a degree preparing for a teaching ministry and/or doctoral studies. The programme offers hermeneutical and contextual approach in all theological disciplines and introduces deep biblical insights to current problems of our society.

Founded by the Hungarian Government in 2013, the programme is supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. It is based on bilateral education agreements between Hungary and the governments of the sending countries, and is already available on five continents in approximately 70 countries, attracting more than 5000 international students each year.

This scholarship was founded in 2017 by the Government of Hungary. The core mission of the SCYP is to provide opportunities to pursue higher education studies in Hungarian host institutions for Christian youth living in crisis regions of the world or being threatened in their countries because of their faith.

Our University founded this scholarship in 2019 to provide the opportunity of studying in Hungary for young Christian students from certain countries in the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

The Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship was established by the Hungarian Government in 2020 for those who live in a Hungarian diaspora outside of Europe and wish to study at a Hungarian higher education institution to develop their personal, professional and cultural relations to Hungary.

Curriculum
In the first half of the four semester programme a unified basic training is provided including the following courses:

Methodology of Academic Research in Theology
Biblical Hebrew I-II.
Biblical Greek I-II.
Hermeneutics of the Old Testament
Hermeneutics of the New Testament
Anthropology from Theological Perspective
Contemporary Protestant Theology from WW2
History and Presence of Church and Society
History of Christian Thought
Christian Spirituality
Communication Skills Development
In the 3rd and 4th semester of the programme students will have to choose a specialisation in the field of Biblical Perspectives in Our Society. Students will have to complete at least two of the following 5 topics to gain 120 credits.
