Introduction

Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences (KL) at Campus Krems offers a two-part, interdisciplinary medical study programme - consisting of Medical Science Bachelor programme and Human Medicine Master programme. The medical study programme is divided into a three-year Medical Science Bachelor study programme and a subsequent three-year Human Medicine Master study programme, which takes place primarily in clinical teaching at the three university hospitals in Krems, St. PΓΆlten and Tulln.

The medical study programme at Karl Landsteiner University of Health Sciences educates a new generation of physicians: On the basis of a modern curriculum, students learn the key competences required for the medical profession in an interprofessional, practice-oriented approach and in small groups. The modular structure of the study programme offers continuously in-depth teaching centred on the clinical context, which is based on concrete questions and practical case studies. The entire study programme is accompanied by four cross-sectional areas that include key competences such as medical economic and medical technical knowledge as well as professional development and scientific work.
