Introduction

In the two-year master's study, the acquired general and professional knowledge and skills are deepened and narrower professional training takes place. Master's studies allow to continue studies in the previously acquired specialty and to receive preparation for service in the headquarters of the infantry battalion and infantry brigade, in the position of wartime battalion commander or in equivalent positions. Graduates receive a master's degree in military science and technology.

Kaitseväe Akadeemia consists of three major parts - the basic and directional study module and the specialty module. In addition to military disciplines, basic and advanced academic education provides students with a comprehensive and up-to-date academic education that takes into account the requirements and tasks set for the Defense Forces and the state. In addition to the compulsory subjects, listeners are given the opportunity to choose electives between several subject blocks.

The aim of the specialization is to specialize within the field in order to acquire the necessary knowledge and professional skills at the level of battalion commander and staff officer. Officers who previously specialize in the infantry specialty acquire the professional skills of an infantry battalion and brigade staff intelligence officer, an operational officer and a battalion staff commander in a master's degree.
