Introduction

Our faculty was established on 20 July 1982. In our faculty, education, training and scientific research activities are carried out within the academic structure consisting of 5 departments and 20 departments. The academic staff consists of 37 Professors, 15 Associate Professors, 19 Assistant Professors, 10 Research Assistants and 15 Administrative staff. Our faculty has a total of 721 students. There are Master's and Doctorate programs in many departments.

In our faculty, by using all the possibilities of modern education, our students are given education that they can compete at national and international level. Our faculty is a member of the European Association of Veterinary Medicine Education Institutions (EAEVE) and is in cooperation and coordination with VEDEK (Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Veterinary Medicine Education and Programs).

There are 4 lecture halls, 4 classrooms, 1 library, 1 computer lab and a 400-person conference hall within the faculty. Our faculty is also at the forefront of scientific research. For example, our academic staff published 169 articles, submitted 185 papers and took part in 63 scientific projects supported by different sources in 2017.

The Faculty Hospital consists of Internal Diseases, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology clinics, as well as Retreating and Artificial Insemination Unit and Wild Animal Diseases and Ecology Departments. Our clinics provide services in many areas such as diagnosis, treatment, first aid, reproductive and reproductive problems in animals and artificial insemination in domestic and wild animal diseases. Pharmacology and Toxicology, Microbiology, Parasitology, Pathology and Virology laboratories support clinical services.
