Introduction
The X-Ray/ Medical Assistant Program at JEM College in Riverside, CA, is a 12-month program that covers medical terminology and other HIPAA requirements.
To educate students to acquire satisfactory skills and demonstrate competence in Radiographic examinations under the scope of the permits of Chest, Extremities, and Torso-skeletal categories and to educate students to acquire satisfactory medical assisting skills and demonstrate competence of clinical skills in injections, venipuncture, and electrocardiography. This education will consist of a didactic (classroom) and clinical education (externship).
Upon successful completion, the student will be eligible to sit for:
- The State of California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch examination for Limited Permit X-ray Technician
- The National Medical Assistant Certification Examination
