Do you want to understand customers, build brands, and shape business in a global context? This programme combines a solid foundation in business and economics with specialised knowledge in marketing, strategy, and communication. You will gain the skills to analyse markets, engage customers, and drive growth in today’s fast-changing international environment.
Marketing involves connecting businesses with people - understanding customer needs, creating value, and building relationships across different markets and cultures. This programme provides you with both strategic knowledge and practical tools to navigate today’s fast-changing global marketplace. You will learn how to design and implement marketing strategies across borders, adapt to diverse cultural contexts, and develop the skills needed to succeed in international marketing roles.
In your first year, you will build a broad base in business and economics, covering organisation, finance, accounting, economics, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. This foundation helps you understand marketing not as a stand-alone activity, but as a central driver of business strategy and international growth.
From the second year, you will specialise in marketing through courses covering topics such as consumer behaviour, branding, digital marketing, market research, communication strategy, social media and SEO, and trademark law. You will also gain hands-on experience with analytical tools and data-driven methods to understand customers better and make informed marketing decisions.
A focus on customers, strategy, and global perspective
The programme develops your ability to think critically, analyse market trends, and work across cultures. You will learn how marketing drives innovation and growth, while developing an international outlook, entrepreneurial mindset, and strong communication skills.
Learning for the future
At JIBS, theory and practice are closely connected. You will work on cases, projects, and real-world companies, developing strong analytical, research, and presentation skills. A sustainable perspective runs throughout the programme, preparing you to address marketing challenges with responsibility and long-term value creation in mind. The programme concludes with a thesis project, where you apply and integrate your knowledge in a focused international marketing study.
International opportunities
You will study in a diverse and international campus environment, with opportunities to:
- Spend a semester abroad at one of our many partner universities
- Choose electives to tailor your education
- Do an internship in Sweden or internationally
These experiences broaden your perspective, expand your global network, and strengthen your CV.
