Introduction

At the graduate level, the focus of the IR program is on peace and conflict studies and international security.

The program provides graduate students with skills they need to function in the contemporary world and to examine the motives, methods, and policies of states pursuing their particular interests in the international arena and of the forces acting to shape and limit those states.

The program also hosts a highly successful Summer School on Learning from the Past, Transitional Justice, Reconciliation and other associated disciplines.
