Key Summary
Introduction
Study “Hotel & Tourism Management” at ITM and achieve an Austrian State Diploma within only 2 years! Our study programme is focused on students motivated and dedicated to becoming future professionals in the Hospitality Industry. It is available for a selected number of 25 students per year coming from all over the world.
The small number ensures an individual focus and therefore guarantees a high-quality education in an ever-growing industry. After the completion of the two-year programme our students are prepared for a successful career in Austria, Europe and around the globe!
The diploma programme consists of three main areas:
- Foreign language acquisition
- Management skills
- Practical training
Through the duration of the Diploma in Hotel & Tourism Management students will develop marketing and communication competencies, as well as being trained in guest relations, service, and cuisine. Students are also encouraged to work on their language skills which are also a natural progression when mixing with multicultural peers.
Upon completion of the Higher Diploma in Hotel & Tourism Management graduates are awarded a Diploma and a business licence allowing them to establishing their own restaurant, hotel or travel agency.
Further possibilities
As a further steppingstone our graduates can continue with their Bachelor studies at the ITM campus and achieve a Dutch Bachelor (BBA) Degree within only 1 more year.
Furthermore, our students have the opportunity to continue at our partner universities as well.

Program Outcome
Austrian State Diploma: State certified hotel manager, Entrepreneur license
Graduates of this program will be ready for a direct start into the tourism business world. Additionally, they may choose to move ahead with their academic education at the ITM campus or discover more of the world as this program qualifies them for a short-track bachelor´s programme from one of ITM's partner universities.
