Accommodation & Student Life:
Through a network of agencies, residences and private landlords, we assist students in finding suitable housing. Options may include single rooms in shared apartments, double rooms or individual solutions.
The areas most chosen by our students are Pontedera, Pisa (just 15 minutes by train) and Florence (around 40 minutes by train). Thanks to the institute’s location just steps from Pontedera train station, students can easily reach both Pisa and Florence every day, making commuting smooth and convenient.
We also often connect students who are looking for accommodation, helping them find housing together.
International students planning to study in Italy may need a student visa to attend long-term programs such as Bachelor's or Master's degrees.
Once enrolled, our International Admissions Office at Istituto Modartech offers guidance throughout the visa process, providing students with clear information on how to start their application through the Universitaly portal and outlining the main steps to prepare for the visa request with the relevant Italian Embassy or Consulate.
Residence Permit for EU Students
EU, EEA, and Swiss citizens do not need a residence permit to study in Italy. However, for stays longer than three months, students are required to register at the local registry office (Comune) of their chosen city.
Residence Permit for non-EU Students
Non-EU citizens must apply for a residence permit (permesso di soggiorno) within eight working days after arriving in Italy. The process can be initiated at any post office offering the Sportello Amico service. Our Admissions Office will provide assistance and detailed instructions on how to complete this procedure once you arrive.
