What Students Will Learn
Our three-week summer Photography course is designed for students of all levels – whether they’re picking up a camera for the first time or looking to take their skills to the next stage. With tailored guidance from working photographers to suit each student’s experience, this course offers the chance to explore photography in a fun and supportive environment.
Beginners will get to grips with the essentials, learning how to use their camera effectively and understanding the basics of composition, shutter speed, and aperture. More experienced students will be challenged with advanced techniques like long exposure, intentional blur, and tilt shift, helping them refine their technical skills.
Throughout the course, students will experiment with a wide range of photographic styles, from street and documentary photography to studio portraits and nature shots.
By the end of the programme, each student will have built a portfolio of their best work, which will be proudly displayed in the final Photography Exhibition – a celebration of everything they’ve learned and created over the three weeks.
Our elective classes run for 3 hours every weekday afternoon (except Wednesdays) and are paired with an academic class, allowing students to explore different interests and create a well-rounded academic profile.
