Art Summer School Programme
Get inspired, try out new techniques, and bring creative ideas to life in our fun and hands-on three-week summer Art course. Led by our professional artist, this class gives students the chance to explore the world around them from a creative perspective, encouraging imagination while building practical artistic skills.
Whether students are just starting out or have been making art for years, they’ll have the chance to grow creatively and develop a collection of work to showcase in front of the entire summer school in our art show at the end of the session.
It’s all about finding inspiration in unexpected places, trying new styles and approaches, and enjoying the process in a relaxed, supportive environment.

What Students Will Learn
Over three creative and inspiring weeks, students will explore a wide range of artistic styles and techniques – from classic line drawing and oil painting to modern sculpture and cartoon illustration. Whether they love sketching, painting, designing or just want to try something completely new, there’s something for everyone in this hands-on course.
Each day brings fresh challenges and exciting projects – painting portraits on canvas, sculpting something totally original, or even designing an album cover for a favourite band. Students will be encouraged to think creatively, experiment with ideas, and start shaping their own unique artistic style, all while finding inspiration in the world around them.
At the end of the programme, students will display their best pieces in a final art exhibition, giving them a chance to celebrate everything they’ve created with the whole summer school community. This course is a brilliant opportunity for students to develop not only their artistic skills, but also their self-expression and creative confidence.
Led by working artists, the course offers plenty of individual guidance to help students grow in confidence and refine their techniques.
Please note: While students will create a varied portfolio of work during their time with us, this is not a portfolio-building course for projects/classes outside of the art summer school.
Our elective classes run for 3 hours every weekday afternoon (except Wednesdays) and are paired with an academic class, allowing students to explore different interests and create a well-rounded academic profile.
