Key Summary

About : The Cognitive and Behavioral Neurosciences program focuses on understanding brain function and its impact on behavior. This interdisciplinary field examines cognitive processes and their biological underpinnings. Students engage with contemporary research and methodologies to explore how cognitive processes like perception and memory are rooted in neural mechanisms. The program may be structured for a full-time or part-time study option, accommodating varying student needs.
Career Outcomes : Graduates may pursue careers in academia, research institutions, and healthcare settings. Potential roles include neuropsychologist, research scientist, and clinical psychologist. Opportunities in data analysis and neuroscience-related fields may also be available, allowing graduates to apply their expertise in diverse professional environments.

The Cognitive Neuroscience and Behavioral are an emerging area of knowledge that has as its object the biological basis of cognition and behavior, focusing in particular on the role of the nervous system in these psychological processes. It involves an articulation between a solid domain of Psychology, namely in the scope of the study of cognitive and emotional processes, a clear understanding of the organization and functioning of the nervous system, as well as of the fundamental principles and concepts of Biology. Due to the multiplicity of knowledge involved, this study plan has an interdisciplinary character, integrating Neuroscience concepts, theories and techniques with knowledge and theories that emerge from Psychology and Biology.
