With the Data Science degree program, you will rapidly acquire knowledge in computer science and digital transformation with a business-oriented focus. Whether programming tools, business intelligence, or artificial intelligence - the B.Sc. Applied Data Science & Business Analytics gives you an understanding of a wide range of topics in the field of data science. It combines the basics of business administration with current trends and challenges of big data.
When you study the Data Science Bachelor, your studies are strongly oriented toward current industry developments and practice with consulting projects with companies, workshops, and experienced lecturers from the business world. You will also gain initial professional experience as a data scientist through 20-weeks of integrated internships with an international focus in Germany and abroad.
This program is offered at the following campuses: Frankfurt am Main, Munich, Dortmund and Hamburg and all ISM study programs are internationally AACSB accredited.
The Bachelor program also includes a semester abroad at one of around 35 partner universities abroad in Europe or overseas (e.g. Spain, Ireland, Sweden, UK, Denmark, Belgium, United States, Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, etc). By studying abroad, you will get cutting-edge international and inter-cultural education and learn international trends and business analytics tools.

Data science methods can be used to optimize processes and thus help companies remain competitive and more productive. Many companies have recognized that data is a success factor in today's world, because information such as purchasing behavior, transactions, and demographic and geographic data help companies optimize customer experiences, campaign planning, and targeted approaches.

Applicants who need a study visa for Germany please apply no later than the following dates:

- If you do not require a study visa for Germany, you can still apply until 15th February 2026 for this Bachelor's spring start date and until August 15th for the fall intake.

The B.Sc. Applied Data Science & Business Analytics includes an integrated semester abroad in the fourth semester. During the semester abroad, you will not only learn about international data science and IT trends but also acquire valuable intercultural and language skills.
The choice of university is up to you. ISM's university network comprises around 190 partner universities worldwide. In the Data Science course, you can choose from a list of foreign universities the right one for your studies abroad. The study achievements are fully credited so that you do not lose any time and adhere to the standard period of study.
With a second, optional overseas semester in the seventh semester, the Global Track option offers you the opportunity to spend another semester abroad. This will enable you to expand your specialist knowledge further and develop your foreign language and soft skills.
