The Master in Financial Mathematics is a post-employment master's program, lasting two years and taught in Portuguese, which seeks to provide specialized training in the application of the theory of stochastic and differential calculus to concrete problems in the financial markets. This Master is taught in partnership with the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon.

Application

Admission to the Master in Financial Mathematics is mainly aimed at graduates in the areas of Mathematics, Physics or Engineering who wish to pursue a professional or research career in the area of quantitative finance. Applications from graduates in the areas of Finance, Economics or Management will also be considered as long as the candidate's curriculum assessment shows a strong appetite for mathematics.

Even though the master's teaching language is Portuguese, classes are taught in English whenever there are foreign students or teachers.
