Introduction
COURSE GENERAL DESCRIPTION
In recent years, Tourism in Portugal has been showing exponential growth and development, quite significant for the current economy. This course aims to provide future professionals with technical skills that allow them to identify and recognize the preponderant elements in the search for a tourist destination. Participation in this course will allow investment in human capital to be a promising offer for companies. The Tourism Product Development technician will have a clear vision of the sector, namely the ability to design tourist products and services and promote their sale to potential customers.
LEARNING OUTCOMES/MAIN ACTIVITIES
A) Understand the fundamental concepts related to Tourism and the factors associated with tourist demand;
B) Identify the process of evolution of Tourism at an international and national level;
C) Designing tourism products and services and promoting their sale to individual customers and organizations; and design tourist and event itineraries and organize travel plans;
D) Debate and question fundamental trends for the future of the Tourism sector.
