Introduction

ISAD's Bachelor is proposed as a preparation for the profession of Interior Design. Aimed at high-school/graduate students and is accredited by E.A.B.H.E.S. At the end of the formation, the student acquires a European Degree with 180 ECTS credits (European credits).

The aim of the 3 years-course is to prepare the students to face with skills and sensibility the concrete responsibilities of the profession. That's why during the formation, a significant place is occupied by courses that technically deal with the use of materials and installations, but also the graphic and communicative methods to present and develop the work in a professional way.

The courses are organized by thematic areas regarding both drawing and the techniques of representation, the interior design project, the history of architecture related to the morphology of human habitations, technologies and materials.

Each course is developed in workshops that link the theoretical lessons to laboratory work providing immediate feedback and verification with teachers. The Interior Design projects, essential for the didactic formation and controls of the collateral topics, are annual or biannual. To the didactic activity, during the year, are integrated with guided visits to: exhibitions, cultural activities, work sites and firms as well as historic buildings of interest to the topics being studied.

During the course, all students will make two internships, one during the second year and another one during the third year, in a firm or Architecture studio, completely provided by ISAD.

Scholarship

Bachelor in Interior Design 1st year – A.A. 2017/2018

accredited by E.A.B.H.E.S. - European Accreditation Board of Higher Education Schools under the Sponsorship of Milan's Architects Order.

Provision of N.2 scholarships of tuition fee for Italian and foreigner students:

  • Italian and EU students: N.1 scholarship of partial coverage equal to 50% for total amount of €5.370,00 of tuition fee of €10.740,00 (E.A.B.H.E.S. accreditation excluded)
  • NON-EU students: N.1 scholarship of partial coverage equal to 50% for total amount of €5.920,00 of tuition fee of €11.840,00 (E.A.B.H.E.S. accreditation excluded)

The bachelor will take place from November 7th, 2017 until June 29th, 2018, compulsory attendance from Monday to Friday from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 p.m., plus one afternoon per week, at ISAD – Istituto Superiore di Architettura e Design.

The bachelor will be held by teachers-professionals of the field as detailed in the program published on our website.

Requirements for participation in the selection

Participation in the competition is open to candidates who are not in possession of other scholarships and meet the following requirements:

  • holders of a high school diploma

Documents to be sent

  • participation form completely filled in
  • letter of purpose
  • curriculum vitae with a brief personal profile
  • copy of the diploma degree
  • declaration stating that student is not holding any other scholarship

Deadlines

All documents have to be sent to coordinamento@isad.it, not later than Friday, September 15th, 2017.

Evaluation and selection of winners

Results will be communicated within September 26th, 2017.

Candidates are having 48 hours to accept the scholarship sending a mail to coordinamento@isad.it. From the acceptance, the winner is having 5 days time to apply for the course, and send a copy of the payment for the tax of inscription of €2.950,00 VAT included.

If the winner is not going to accept the scholarship, or if the winner is not sending the application before the scheduled time, the scholarship will be considered refused and the Commission could assign it to another candidate.
