It is intended that graduates are qualified to carry out their activity in the field of maintenance and rehabilitation of buildings and in the collaboration of various civil construction activities, namely in the participation in multidisciplinary teams, in the areas of promotion, design, management and supervision of works. , in the public or private sector, in training and applied research.
Students will be able to continue their studies at IPT in the second cycle, master's degree in urban rehabilitation or in other areas, according to the access conditions defined for each course.

Graduates in Construction and Rehabilitation must be able to apply, through technical and scientific methodologies, the knowledge of the specific areas of the specialty and maintain up-to-date knowledge in the fields of construction, materials and processes, structures, geotechnics, communication routes , hydraulics, instrumentation and observation of works and territorial planning, integrating problems arising from safety, quality, sustainability and the environment.
These professionals must have a critical spirit and the capacity to understand the real problems of construction and rehabilitation of the built heritage, to formulate, solve and continue to learn autonomously.
They must have oral, written and graphic expression skills, allowing them to communicate their conclusions and underlying reasoning, both to specialists and non-specialists, in a clear and unambiguous way.
