Goals:

Students of the master's degree in Mediterranean Agro-Silvo-Pastorship, among others, acquire:

  • Knowledge, understanding and training in the field of agro-silvo-pastoralism, from a point of view of conservation and protection of biodiversity;
  • Ability to integrate and reconcile agricultural, forestry and livestock production systems with the values of biodiversity protection, animal welfare, conservation of natural resources, provision of environmental services, aiming at sustainable development;
  • Ability to properly use the principles of integration, holistic concepts, analytical tools, techniques, namely ICT, in the management of multifunctional systems and products with added value and respectful of the environment;
  • Ability to program and develop studies and applied research, apply knowledge to solve problems, based on scientific rigor, critical thinking, teamwork, professional ethics and lifelong learning;
  • Training of professionals endowed with scientific and technical skills, inserted in the labor market, framed in the Reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), in globalization, in the increase in demographic growth, in scientific and technological development, in consumer demand, in preservation of the environment and the rational use of natural resources.
