The Master in Forensic Psychology provides the fundamental skills for the practice of the profession of forensic psychologist in his expert role, as an expert or adviser to the jurist and judge in legal proceedings. You will acquire the tools and knowledge necessary to prepare the forensic report in the different jurisdictions (civil, criminal, labor, minors, ...) and its exposure (ratification) before Courts and Tribunals.
The theoretical-practical methodology includes the drafting and defense before a court of the expert report, as well as practical examples from real cases.
Curriculum
60 ECTS; 5 ECTS PRACTICE; 100 PRACTICE HOURS; 25 MEMORY HOURS.
Block 1: Introduction to Forensic Psychology and Its Methodology

Block 2: Forensic Psychology in the Criminal Field

- Module 7: Forensic Psychology in Juvenile Courts. Criminal Liability.
- Module 8: Psychological intervention in the prison context.
- Module 9: Psychological-forensic evaluation of the victim.
- Module 10: Child sexual abuse.
- Module 11: Forensic Psychology in the field of gender violence.
Block 3: Forensic Psychology in Civil, Labor and Other Specific Areas
- Module 12: Forensic psychology in civil jurisdiction.
- Module 13: Forensic psychology in the family setting.

- Module 15: Neuropsychology in the forensic field.
Block 4: Practical Applications
- Module 16: Practical cases in criminal jurisdiction and ratification of reports.

Program Outcome
With this qualification you will learn to:
- Understand key legal concepts and the role of the criminal report in the legal setting.
- Develop the technical and personal skills of a forensic psychologist and submit reports that comply with the legislative framework.
- Prepare and ratify forensic reports before the court
- Identify and analyze relevant psychopathological conditions in Forensic Psychology.
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate the criminal responsibility of minors
- Conduct psychological assessments to determine mental health, psychological consequences, and suitability for custody or guardianship.
- Assess criminal liability and the capacity to be tried in civil and criminal jurisdiction.
