About
The Master's Degree in Clinical Speech Therapy in adult neurological damage and child neurodevelopment offers specialized and multidisciplinary training in the neurologopedic approach to patients who have suffered acquired brain damage or neurodegenerative pathology. In addition, it allows you to access a double degree within the ISEP Speech Therapy Area.
Eminently practical training based on real cases. We work on research articles, intervention materials and other documents that expand the student's theoretical knowledge.

Block 1: Theoretical Bases
- Module 1: Functional neuroanatomy applied to speech therapy.
- Module 2: Neuropsychology in acquired brain damage.
- Module 3: Speech therapy and intellectual disabilities (syndromes).
- Module 4: Geriatric Neurospeech Therapy. Dementia.
Block 2: Multidisciplinary evaluation and intervention
- Module 5: Child Neuropsychology. Assessment and Intervention.
- Module 6: Augmentative and alternative communication systems and new technologies applied to speech therapy intervention.
- Module 7: Autism: speech therapy intervention.
- Module 8: Neurodevelopmental disorders with a neurological component. Speech-language pathology evaluation and intervention.
- Module 9: Acquired disorders in neurological damage.
- Module 10: Acquired neurodevelopmental disorders ICD 11 and DSM 5 TR.
- Module 11: Oral Language Disorders. Assessment and Rehabilitation of Aphasias.

With this qualification:
- You will identify the possible neurological causes of cognitive disorders, especially those related to language disorders.
- You will develop stimulation and rehabilitation programs focused on speech therapy for brain damage.
- You will carry out specific intervention programs adapted to each patient.
- You will apply theoretical and practical tools for speech therapy intervention through clinical case studies and supervised exercises.
- You will determine the morphological, neurophysiological, and neuropsychological changes that occur in some neurodevelopmental diseases of a neurological nature and those that occur in different neurodegenerative diseases.
This Master's in Speech Therapy is for you if:
- In Spain: you have a degree or diploma in speech therapy.
To practice speech therapy in Spain, it is essential to have a Diploma or Graduate in Speech Therapy, or to be authorized by the corresponding Professional College of Speech Therapists in accordance with the provisions of article 2.2 b) and article 7.2 f) of Law 44/2003, of November 21, on the regulation of health professionals (LOPS).
- In Latin America : speech therapists, language, speech and hearing therapists.
After completing the Master's degree you will be able to work in:
- Neurology and rehabilitation units in hospitals and nursing homes: Helping patients with acquired brain injury or neurodegenerative diseases recover their communication and swallowing skills.
- Early Intervention Centers: Working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism, dyslexia, or language delays.
- Educational centers as a specialist in speech-language pathology: Evaluating, diagnosing, and intervening in children with communication and learning difficulties.
- Private clinics or offices (speech therapy, psychology, physiotherapy, etc.): Offering speech therapy services to patients of all ages.
- Research teams: Collaborating on research projects related to speech therapy, neurology, or neurodegenerative diseases.
- Institutions such as foundations or associations that treat people with neurological conditions: Providing support and advice to patients and their families.
