Foundation Dance
Our Foundation Dance course is designed to give you intense training over two-terms to develop your skills and artistry in preparation to access degree level education. We will strengthen your skills in a range of different techniques while developing you as a versatile and confident performer.

- Enhance the core skills for those wishing to transition to Degree programmes.
- Focus on preparing student for auditions in Higher Education and the industry.
- Provide performance and showcase opportunities.
- Help grow your confidence and find your own creative voice.
The IAB offers a limited number of scholarships each year. These are awarded to new students only and may be awarded for any of the IAB’s programmes. Scholarships will be offered to students identified by the faculty as having the potential to make a significant contribution to the development of the performing arts.
You therefore cannot apply for a scholarship.
A scholarship constitutes a reduction in fees, rather than a full fee waiver.

You will take classes in ballet, contemporary, commercial dance, jazz and tap. In addition to the main dance styles, you will get an introduction to acting and ensemble singing lessons. You will take part in Audition and Application classes to prepare you for university auditions, and you will get a chance to perform as a soloist during the end-of-term showcase.
Foundation in Dance – issued by IAB
The Foundation program in Dance is an approved academic entry qualification to the BA (Hons) Dance program at the IAB.
