Introduction

Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s Public Health major features four different tracks, all of which offer experiential learning and field experiences. The goal of a career in public health is to prevent disease, prolong life, and promote health through organized efforts and informed choices by communities, organizations, and individuals. The Bachelor of Science in Public Health program prepares students to meet the growing demand for public health professionals.

IUP’s Public Health program incorporates a solid grounding in social, natural, and health sciences, as well as mathematics and humanities. Courses are taught by professors from numerous academic departments to provide an interdisciplinary education.
