Introduction

The Bachelor of Science in Physics examines the forces that give structure to galaxies, the particles that create matter, and scientific theories that help us understand our universe.

The undergraduate physics program provides excellent preparation for graduate study in physics, as well as a strong background for success in other professions, including patent and intellectual law, health physics, business, entrepreneurship, medicine, and research in other areas of science.

Gain experience with experimental techniques, instrumentation, and measurement processes while developing mathematical, computational, and analytical skills. This interdisciplinary program provides the knowledge, skills, and experiences to clear a path toward achieving career goals.

The rigorous interdisciplinary nature of the program prepares graduates with an understanding of how physics is interrelated with biology, chemistry, computational sciences, and engineering. Graduates are prepared for entry into positions in industrial, medical, and other research laboratories and for graduate study in biophysics, solid-state physics, or high-energy physics.
