The Master in Fashion Product Management provides you with the skills to manage the fashion product, from its creation, up to the development, production, and insertion into the fashion collection. We will equip you with both creative expertise and managerial know-how to conceive successful products.
This program blends design and management, focusing on the intricacies of product development, from textiles & materials to the steps of product management for both fashion collections and accessories collections. You will gain experience in the most important phase of every collection: product development. Where creativity meets strategy.
Program Outcome
During the Master in Fashion Product Management, you will dive deep into the key areas of brand & product design, exploring every stage of the product lifecycle and the processes that drive successful collections.
You’ll learn how to:
- Understand the fashion product development: from initial concept to prototyping, production, and its assessment for collections.
- Define Brand & Product Design: from the design processes, to design fundamentals, brand basics, brand anatomy, and brand strategy, through a 360° approach.
- Manage Materials & Textiles: from selecting and sourcing materials, understanding fabric characteristics, and incorporating sustainability into product development.
- Lead Product Management Processes: all the steps of product development, overseeing from design, prototyping, and production to final launch, as in fashion companies, are carried out.
- Compose Merchandising plans and pricing techniques: ensuring equilibrium between products and their quantitative goals, within each collection.
- Understand product logics in Fashion & Accessories: leveraging their specificities and the managerial techniques that are category-dependent.
- Develop the Entrepreneurial mindset & how to create a start-up: starting from business model identification, to the validation process needed to open a new venture in the fashion industry.
- Manage the Communication Design process: from the drivers of effective brand communication to the product, to communicate the fashion product consistently.
With a hands-on approach and real-world case studies, you’ll refine both your creative and managerial skills, preparing you to lead the product development.

Program delivery
The Master Course is completely in English. During the whole course, an Italian-English bilingual Teaching Assistant will be available for both Italian and foreign students.

Internship

The internship is one of the most crucial aspects of the Master. Your internship will be a custom-fit opportunity, where you’ll be in a fashion & luxury company, involved in day-to-day operations, and gain hands-on experience that’s crucial for your career development. Each internship is shaped around a training project agreed upon between the Italian Institute of Fashion Management and the company, ensuring it aligns with both your academic goals and the company’s needs.
Throughout the process, you’ll be guided by mentors -- from IIFM and from within the company- who will provide personalized feedback to help you grow.

Scholarships and Funding
Valued at €10,500, the scholarships cover half of the €21,000 tuition fee and give selected students the opportunity to enroll in specialized courses taught by industry professionals.
