Key Summary
The three-year programme in Video Design and Filmmaking at IED Roma will provide you with training on how to express your creativity and work with moving images. The first year will allow you to acquire key technical and project design tools. You will gradually become familiar with all concepts related to art, image, multimedia and video editing. The Video Design and Filmmaking programme at IED Roma will inspire and connect you with the whole process of on-set project design as well as direction of actors and photography.
The aim of the programme is to enhance your skills and personal sensitivity to help you manage artistic direction and deal with the overall production process of audiovisual works. From brainstorming an idea to writing, from shooting and editing to sound tracking, you will acquire problem solving skills and learn how to liaise with everyone involved in the process.
Over the three-year programme, a variety of workshops, seminars and projects will allow you to expand your knowledge, encourage your creativity, gain specific experience and understand how to express yourself clearly with your work.
Attending the Video Design and Filmmaking programme at IED Roma means that you will learn directly from the source as Rome is the city of cinema by its very nature.
Here you will have the opportunity to learn the newest audiovisual techniques and tools, as Rome is the place where most of the contemporary storytelling found in TV series and fiction is coming from.
The Video Design and Filmmaking degree programme at IED Roma will make available to you a number of computer labs, a professional web-TV and a Pose Theatre for live action and green screen shooting. All of this will be useful to create short films, web series, commercials, videos and audiovisual installations together with peers from other areas of study.
Upon completion of the programme you will be able to work as a Film maker, Video Designer, Digital Art Director, Producer, Operator, Editor, Composer, Motion Graphic Designer, Author of theme songs, video clips, commercials, fashion movies, video art, bumper graphics and trailers for cinema and multimedia broadcasting.
