Doctoral Programme in Medical Sciences

The Doctoral Programme in Medical Sciences aims to promote advanced training in the field of Medicine and Dental Medicine through the development of research in this area, including research in basic, translational, clinical or population science. This programme only accepts applications from graduates or masters in Medicine or Dental Medicine, and can be attended by Specialised Doctors or Specific Training Interns, who carry out care work while developing their research focused on scientific issues, usually within the scope of their medical area of specialisation.
The ultimate goal is the acquisition of technical skills and autonomy in the implementation of research projects, which will enable the student to make research an important part of the medical profession throughout their professional life.
