Introduction

Life began in the primitive sea 4 billion years ago, and the new bachelor's degree in Aquatic Environmental Sciences, now shared with the Faculty of Sciences, takes us into the future. Based on solid foundations in Aquatic Biology and the Environment, using modern teaching methods, around half of the lessons are practical. Part of these take place outdoors, in the form of fieldwork and study visits, providing greater contact with nature and a better understanding of the processes that take place there.
The degree covers a wide range of areas, including Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Fisheries/Aquaculture and Ecology. It thus provides a solid and diverse education, with a broad view of how aquatic ecosystems work and how they interact with other systems on our planet.
If you're interested in studying aquatic ecosystems, environmental conservation and applying scientific knowledge to solve problems related to aquatic biology and the environment, the degree in Aquatic Environmental Sciences is the right choice for you!
