Introduction

The Faculty of Social, Humanities and Natural Sciences currently represents an important didactic and scientific potential within the large family of faculties that make up Hyperion University.

Part of it, the History Specialization , founded in 1990, organizes full-time university studies, assuming the mission of training researchers, museographers, archivists, archaeologists, ethnologists and teachers for pre-university and university education. Upon completion of their studies, graduates are awarded certificates of knowledge of a modern foreign language and training in the field of psycho-pedagogical sciences (depending on options).

In the first decade of existence, renowned professors, doctors in history, nationally and internationally recognized, such as academician Dan Berindei, Gabriel Strempel, Constantin Preda, Ligia BÒrzu, Ion Barnea, contributed to the building of the institution and private historical education. Florentina Căzan, Mircea D.Matei, Nicolae Ciachir, Gh.I.Ioniţă, Ion Chiper, Vasile Curticăpeanu, Iulian CÒrţÒnă, Maria Totu, etc.
