Key Summary
About: Become an IT Apprentice while you earn industry certifications and, if needed, a security clearance. HCC’s Information Technology Apprenticeship, offered in partnership with AT&T, prepares you for an IT career through employer‑led training, classroom instruction and on‑the‑job experience. It’s the only program of its type in Maryland. Participants work while attending classes and gain hands‑on experience in areas such as networking, cybersecurity, systems administration and help desk support.
Career Outcomes: Graduates can pursue roles in IT support, network administration, cybersecurity analysis, systems administration, field service and contractor positions requiring clearance. Career opportunities include IT technician, network administrator, cybersecurity analyst.
