Introduction

If you're new to Australia or from a non-English speaking background, this Course in Initial English as an Additional Language (EAL) will help you develop the knowledge and skills you need to live and communicate comfortably in Australia.

There are no formal entry requirements but you should be from a non-English speaking background and over 18 years old.Entry into the Course in Initial EAL will be determined according to your current English language skills - an initial assessment will be conducted.

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and pre-training interview.

Theses will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan and identify and learning support needs.
