Find Your Pathway To Success With Our ESL Program!

This certificate program is designed to provide English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction to enhance your existing knowledge, training, and job skills when English is not your native language. Additionally, the certificate program may further your ability to communicate in English and pursue employment or college opportunities in the United States.

The program focuses on enhancing and developing grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, and comprehension. Additionally, computer-assisted learning reinforces your English language studies and software skills.

All ESL classes are available through our online Technology Enhanced Classroom (TEC) format. With TEC enabled, it is now possible to earn your English certificate from the comfort of your home.

Where Can You Take ESL?

Hodges offers the ESL course at the Fort Myers campus from 8:30 a.m. – 1:20 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Three 16-Week Courses Per Level

  • Grammar (Levels 1-3)
  • Reading/Writing (Levels 1-3)
  • Listening/Speaking (Levels 1-3)
