Key Summary
Introduction
Three building blocks for your career
Our bilingual Bachelor of Science International Engineering program covers three subjects that will give you excellent career prospects. Besides providing the fundamentals of engineering, we also prepare you with business know-how and languages! We train modern, practical and globally-minded engineers - so that you can achieve your career goals anywhere in the world.
Choose your own focus
With us, you have the choice of completing the technical part of your degree in mechanical engineering or medical technology. What will it be?
Gain experience
During a semester abroad, you can perfect your language skills and gain important intercultural experience - in Shanghai, France, Spain or South America!
Combinable qualifications
You can also combine IEB with vocational training. As a so-called "Studium Plus", you can obtain a bachelor's degree and train as an industrial mechanic in just 4.5 years!
More than just theory
We've planned an internship semester so that you can put your theoretical knowledge into practice straight away. You can spend this at home or abroad with a company of your choice and gain groundbreaking experience!
The Bachelor of Science International Engineering program is accredited through the university system accreditation.
Admissions
Curriculum
ECTS:ย 210 ECTS
The internationally oriented International Engineering degree program offers you a unique combination of technology (specializing in mechanical engineering or medical technology), languages and business. We want you to gain as much practical and international experience as possible - giving you the best starting conditions for a successful international career!
Basics and languages
In your first two semesters of IEB, you'll acquire the basics in engineering (specializing in mechanical engineering or medical technology), intercultural competence and business. We supplement this knowledge with intensive language lessons in English and another foreign language (either Chinese, French or Spanish).
Discover your preferences
From the third semester onwards, you will be taking your advanced-level courses and will have the unique opportunity to design part of your studies individually through elective areas that interest you personally. And then it's time to make the exciting decision of where you would like to spend your semester abroad! Studying at one of our numerous partner universities worldwide is free of charge for you.
Practical conclusion
After the semester abroad, numerous interesting internship and thesis options await you. You choose a company in which you would like to work for a semester - and often the topic for your bachelor's thesis is found there (as well as many contacts!). With the IEB degree, you have excellent opportunities in the national and international job market.
Career Opportunities
If you have studied International Engineering with us, you will be ideally trained to work as an engineer in an international environment. There is a shortage of at least 15,000 engineers in Germany alone, and the trend is rising. So you can be sure that after graduation you will have the best job prospects - both in Germany and abroad.
