Key Summary
Introduction
Introduction
Internationality is a very important feature of the Esslingen University Graduate School. We have students from diverse cultural backgrounds studying, working, and living together. This intercultural exchange and cooperation is a strong added value for our master’s students.
Esslingen University maintains regular contact with many prime international companies. This is important for the development, planning, and teaching of our programs, and is of great benefit during the students' practical semester. The Esslingen University master courses are regularly accredited by renowned associations such as the FIBAA and ASIIN.

Curriculum
Faculty and Teaching Philosophy
The faculty teaching consists of a mixture of professors from Esslingen University as well as experts from our corporate partners. Because of our strong commitment to providing our students with hands-on knowledge, many of our courses are team-oriented including case studies, company visits, and project work. Through these, students are given the opportunity to share not only their specialized knowledge but also their cultural backgrounds, in real-life working scenarios.

Program Outcome
Interesting and Innovative
The Master of Engineering – DDM – is a program that aims to prepare students for a challenging job in the core areas of design and development of the globalized mechanical engineering and automotive engineering industry.
The core modules of the program include lectures on the advanced strength of materials, materials technology, dynamic systems, design for manufacturing, aero, and fluid dynamics plus several complementary subjects. Graduates of the program are qualified to work e.g. in the following areas: Automotive industry and component suppliers, the mechanical engineering industry, process engineering industry, and engineering consultancy.
Core competencies and qualifications to be gained include problem-solving know-how based on networked knowledge in the core and intersection areas of design, development, simulation, and production technology as well as the ability to confidently communicate and act in the international/intercultural environment of the modern industry.
