Are you fascinated by Nordic design? The contemporary world is growing ever more environmentally conscious and technology advances with huge leaps every day. It is important that you as designer understand the importance of sustainable values and the challenges of the circular economy. You will learn how to use and combine both traditional and modern techniques with design thinking and a strong creative and material-based mindset. You will study in a studio environment with modern facilities and earn a deep understanding of the product and production. The studies include active collaboration with businesses and a commercial focus in design. The staff has vast global networks.

It is important that design professionals understand the importance of green values, the challenges of circular economy and know-how to use and combine both traditional and modern techniques. Service design know-how and design thinking combined with business principles know-how create a good foundation for today’s designer.
In design education, you can choose your major subject in clothing, footwear or glass, and ceramics design. After completing your studies you will master all the steps from product design to manufacturing.
Smart and sustainable design education provides the ability to work as a designer in companies in different fields and in public organizations or act as an independent entrepreneur. There is demand for the service and user experience design, where social media competence, marketing expertise, and visualization expertise are combined with designer competence.
