Career Outcomes: Graduates can pursue careers as interior designers, design consultants, or project managers in residential, commercial, or hospitality sectors. Other roles include furniture design, spatial planning, and exhibition design.

The BA Honours Interior Design qualification caters for the education and training of Senior Interior Designers as designated by the South African Institute of Interior Design Professions (IID). The IID has reserved the title of ‘Senior Interior Designer’ for someone who has completed four years of tertiary study. As an Interior Design Honours degree, the purpose of this programme is to consolidate and deepen the student’s expertise in Interior Design, develop research capacity, and apply the discipline’s methodologies and techniques in terms of theory practice. The programme focuses on preparing students for academic and design leadership by focusing on individuality, independence, and complexity.
