About

GLOBIS University is Japan’s largest business school and a leader in developing globally minded, purpose-driven professionals. Based in Tokyo with an expanding international reach, GLOBIS delivers a modern MBA education that blends practical business skills with the essence of Japanese leadership and innovation.

At the core of the GLOBIS experience is a blend of Technovate, the integration of technology and innovation, and Kokorozashi, a uniquely Japanese approach to purpose-driven leadership. Students explore emerging technologies, digital strategy, and entrepreneurship while also defining a personal mission that connects professional ambition with social impact.

Through hands-on learning, case discussions, and practical frameworks, learners gain skills they can apply immediately and build careers that are both future-ready and meaningful, whether in Japan or globally. GLOBIS offers flexible programs to meet diverse needs: the one-year Full-time MBA in Tokyo for an immersive experience, and Part-time, Online, and Pre-MBA programs for working professionals worldwide.

The learning environment is highly international, featuring students and instructors from a wide range of industries and countries who bring real-world insights to every discussion. With strong ties to Japan’s entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem, GLOBIS provides access to venture capital perspectives, startup networks, and a global community of alumni shaping business across Asia and beyond. This combination of innovation, purpose, and practical leadership equips students to make a positive impact in their organizations and society.

The vision

Our vision to connect people, capital, and knowledge drives us as an institution. The GLOBIS MBA is part of an integrated business ecosystem that includes Japan’s largest corporate training service, a venture capital firm, an online microlearning platform, and digital and print publications. Our hands-on experience in multiple fields strengthens our curriculum with practical knowledge, which in turn inspires future business ventures.

A leader in practical business education

Every year, more than 1,000 students enroll in GLOBIS MBA programs, and more than 250,000 company employees join corporate training by GLOBIS. They learn with us because of our ability to develop business leaders who can bring meaningful change through action. In order to foster such leaders, our classes are small and built around active student discussions facilitated by seasoned business professionals.

Our main campus is conveniently located in Chiyoda-ku, one of Tokyo’s most important business districts. It’s located just a few blocks away from the iconic Imperial Palace and many embassies.

The campus includes two buildings: the Central Building and the Annex.

Designed to facilitate collaboration, the Central Building has the feel of a modern company headquarters. All students can access the spacious student lounge, the library with desks for quiet self-study, and, of course, the classrooms, among other facilities.

The Annex is right around the corner from the Central Building. It contains 6 classrooms and a wide lounge area with a tenth-floor view.

Our campus welcomes professionals from all fields and industries, socioeconomic backgrounds, ages, and nationalities.

GLOBIS University is fully accredited by the Japan University Accreditation Association (JUAA) and recognized by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). In order to maintain our practical focus, GLOBIS does not seek to obtain international accreditation by bodies such as AACSB, EQUIS, or AMBA. Such accreditations require a minimum proportion of full-time faculty or faculty with doctorate degrees, which does not align with our objectives. We believe that students gain the most practical skills by learning from those who have achieved success in the real business world.
