Introduction

Archeology is expanding in Brazil. Professionals are being absorbed by both the private sector (preventive archeology) and the public sector. The professional archaeologist must be prepared to carry out applied and basic quality research. This contributes significantly to the quantitative and qualitative expansion of knowledge about the past, in accordance with the precepts of archaeological science and the guidelines and legal determinations of the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute.

Archeology professionals at PUC Goiás are able to develop research projects, produce technical reports and are prepared to dialogue with different professionals for a multidisciplinary approach.
