Curriculum
Programme Structure
Our BBA features applied for practical and academic courses, across five semesters of study combined with two six-month professional internships.
You will learn how to lead a hospitality business and master the tools of the trade, working through simulated hotel development and business projects with experienced faculty members.
You’ll develop your critical thinking, research, and writing skills to produce high-quality professional work, including an applied business project.
And for your final semester, you have the opportunity to study one of three career-focused specializations (see separate tab for more details).
Remote Learning Option
In these times of rapid and unprecedented change, our one aim is to ensure that you can experience a world-class Bachelor's education with no need to delay your studies.
So we have developed a unique solution, which will deliver the complete semester 1 curriculum through a blend of learning at home and on campus. We call it Glion Connect.
Here we have 2 options:
- 10 weeks online + 10 weeks on campus
- 20 weeks online (full semester)
Four-year BBA with enhanced English tuition
If English is not your mother tongue, you are not confident in using the language, or your accredited language level is below our standard entry criteria, you can now opt for our special four-year Bachelor’s degree.
By choosing this option you can receive first-class English language tuition alongside the credit-bearing Practical Arts modules that are your launchpad into the hospitality industry.
International Internships
Your professional internships take place in semesters two and five. They play a crucial role in your Bachelor's studies, providing you with vital, real-world experience at leading organizations in the hospitality and beyond.
You will not only gain a full year of work experience to add to your CV but also strengthen your professional skills, make valuable industry connections and build your awareness of the latest industry standards – all of which will be crucially important in securing your first role after graduation.
On average, each Glion student can choose from more than seven internship offers, with opportunities received from 58 countries worldwide.
Specializations
Your final semester specialization allows you to focus your knowledge and expertise on professional disciplines that each offer outstanding career potential.
You can choose one of three specializations:
- Luxury Brand Strategy: Learn the design, marketing, and business skills you’ll need to successfully manage luxury brands.
- International Hotel Development and Finance: Acquire the skills to analyze the critical success factors in asset management for hotel and resort development projects.
- International Event Management: Providing a foundation in strategy, planning, and successful implementation of events of all sizes across a variety of industry sectors.
Practical Arts
Your BBA begins with a Practical Arts semester, which lays a strong foundation for your degree studies.
By the end of these 20 weeks, you will have developed an understanding of the excellence required in hotel and restaurant operations.
You’ll also be equipped with practical, professional skills you can deploy in your first internship.
