Master of Science in Environmental Systems

GMIT Galway Campus

Ireland's emerging environmental sector employs over 4,000 people and generates an annual turnover of €770 million.

There is, at present, a deficit of skilled engineers to fill positions in this growth area.

The Master of Science in Environmental Systems at GMIT aims to produce graduates with the environmental knowledge, skills, and competencies currently being sought by industry - manufacturing, energy, service, and/or construction - and local government.

GMIT has a long history of training undergraduate and postgraduate engineers and scientists to the highest standards. The Institute has excellent teaching and research credentials in relation to design for the environment, renewable energy technology design, energy auditing and management, waste management, sustainable building design, and wastewater management and water protection.

GMIT has invested heavily in specialist laboratory facilities and staff training to support this programme.
