Students gain experience with microcontrollers and basic embedded software development in Principles of Engineering in the sophomore year.

The ECE major provides more advanced opportunities for students to analyze, design, and build computing and communication systems. Students apply linear systems, circuit theory, microelectronics, computer architecture, communication theory, software engineering, and signal processing to understand and realize such systems.
