BSc in Economics
Economics is an excellent first step towards a top master's in economics or business and great preparation for a more and more data-driven workplace. Developed by a world-leading institution in the field of economics and political science, this degree will give you a thorough grounding in the principles of economics and the functioning of an economy. You will:
- Be able to pursue a career as an economist in academia, industry, finance or government.
- Study questions ranging from how much of its income a household chooses to save and what goods it chooses to buy, to how all the households and businesses in the country interact to determine national output.
- Learn an approach to a logical analysis of social and individual decision-making.
Forward College offers a number of scholarships and 0% interest loans to students for whom accessing higher education would not be possible without financial support.
Forward College operates as a Recognised Teaching Center of the University of London (UoL), of which LSE and KCL are members. Our teaching is academically directed either by King’s College London (for the BSc in Psychology) or by the London School of Economics (for the other six BSc programmes). For Forward students, this means they:
- are also registered at the UoL during their studies at Forward College (at no additional cost),
- have full access to the learning materials developed by LSE or KCL through the UoL Virtual Learning Environment,
- are taught and tutored in small groups on our campuses by Forward professors who use the material from LSE or KCL, complemented by their own teaching,
- take annual exams graded by academics from LSE or KCL,
- receive their Bachelor’s degree from the UoL “under the academic direction” of LSE or KCL.
