Curriculum
Content of the programme
The first and second year of the EEE bachelor programme offers you a range of subjects belonging to the wide field of Electrical & Electronics Engineering. In the first two years, you must think of subjects like Analogue and Digital Design, Embedded systems, Mathematics, programming in C# and many more. Each phase consists of a number of semesters, which are composed of theory, practicals in laboratories and projects. Two internships including thesis writing in a company are part of the bachelor programme. In semester 6 the minor programme is scheduled.

Electrical and electronic Engineering plays a role in many aspects of our daily lives. Thanks to Electrical and electronic Engineering, there’s better hospital care, drones can fly, and we can communicate via smartphones. In a rapidly changing society, you have a leading role in the development of new technologies. We guide you to train you to be a successful electrical & electronic engineer.

Scholarships and Funding
The NL scholarship provides a partial scholarship for the first year of your studies at our University and is financed by Fontys University of Applied Sciences and the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
Scholarship
The scholarship amounts to € 5,000. You will receive this in the first year of your studies.
Some of the Fontys' programmes offer the NL Scholarship for non-EEA students. Visit the website to see which programmes offer this scholarship. You might also be eligible for other scholarships not provided by Fontys.
Career Opportunities
The work area is varied and exciting. Job prospects are excellent. Our students find a job during or shortly after their graduation. As an electrical & electronic engineer, you can work as an embedded engineer, test engineer, project director in a technical environment, or as a research engineer. You will work at:
- companies such as Philips, ASML, Vanderlande, Prodrive, OMEC, NXP, Nexperia, Signify or FEI.
- institutions such as TNO, KEMA, ECN, Holtz Center and European Space Agency
- Service Management Facility (SMF)
- a university such as TU/e
Of course, you can also continue studying and take a master's course at Fontys or a technical university. Fontys offers master's degrees in Digital Technology Engineering and System Design.
Agreements have been made with Technical University Eindhoven (TU/e) for a special program, which makes it easy to move on to a master's programme at the TU/e.
